Title: 66 coupe Hazzard lights switch in glove box
Post by: thruster on October 20, 2011, 08:26:53 am
Hi all;
 I have a hazzard light switch in the glove box of my 66 that has broken and would like to know if this is a switch I could buy from an electronics shop like JCAR or D/S ETC, it has 4 wires that go to it and Im thinking it shouldn't be such a big deal to change as long as I can find the correct switch so any advice would be great.

  cheers!

Hi all, just an up date I have 4 wires that connect on the back of the switch,(1)BLUE- always live
                              (2)GREEN-Front drivers blinker
                              (3)WHITE-Front pass blinker
                              (4)GREEN-with red marker does both rear blinkers.
 2,3 and 4 have no power going to them unless you turn on the blinkers and that when it all goes to the dogs. As I can simply join 2,3,4 and have on one side of switch and 1 on other side which works great as hazzard lights BUT when I turn on the blinkers, even in off position, the blinkers dont work. I know its because Im getting 12 V on 2,3,4 I'm just not sure how the original switch isolates them when not in use :banghead:well I hope that this makes sense and if anyone has been through this before please drop me a line. I think I will order this switch and have to wait for its arrival .

  Cheers .
