Very exciting and well done, I bet you can't wait till it's all done.
How long have you had it?

Have had it for a few years now, decided to get it together and hopefully on the road..have a month coming up pretty much dedicated to the car - should get pretty close to finished..:redpepper:

looking good

Very nice. I like it.
Im jealous.
Wish mine was at that stage.

its amazing how much time you can put in for how little forward movement you get sometimes..tried to get the timing right today - think may have faulty ignition switch - had intermittent spark, swapped out crane xr-i electronic module to points - still dodgey spark..ran direct wire from battery to coil and fired straight up and once running pulled wire out and continued to run..looks like i will need new ignition switch..cracked it before we could get car to idle (has a massive cam - slowly regretting it)..bolted on front valance and fitted grill and emblem - looks excellent..also put on drip rail moldings..unsure how rear corner 'boomerang' molding attatches..fairly productive arvo really

LOOKING GREAT...........BET YOU CANT WAIT TO DRIVE IT..:thumb:
-
Looks fantastic. Tough stance.
-
The color, the side scoops and the wheels add to one really nice 69 coupe .
Well done !
Cheers,
Frank.
-
BTW, are the side scoops just the same as the 67/68 ones , or different for the 69 ?
Cheers,
Frank.

Great work. Looks fantastic
-
What a great 69, looks awesome.
Well done
-
Thanks everyone, really happy with the stance and how everything works together..needs a good buff/detail still and some finishing touches..any opinions on where to mount a 2 5/8'' tacho and 2'' oil pressure and water temp guages??steering column?
-
Tacho on the column.
Oil pressure I'd make up a little gauge cluster under the radio.
Maybe add volts while you are there.
Dont you have the standard water temp gauge in the dash ?
Or if you are keen, do what I did :

Still a work in progress.

Frank I believe they are specific for 69' shelby convertibles, however they look fairly similar..CJ pony parts were the only people i could find (didnt look to hard) that stocked them..
If I had my time again i would do what you did Frank, really like the look and in reality almost cheaper..
thinking i may put all 3 on the column, but may look a bit much..
My car is originally AC so i dont think there ios much room for guages below the radio..may be different in non-AC cars?
I'm not entirely confident with the satandard guage, not to mention its not currently working..Volts probably isnt a bad idea, depending on where the other guages go

Love a 69.. nice ride. I was at this stage about 6 weeks ago.
Need an exhaust to hook up to the hooker headers and the air con to arrive from the states and I'm off and crusin.. :0)
sorry couldnt work out how to post a pic of the old girl..
cheers
