1st september its a saturday ,also i would like to add that it won't be a dyno thrash day i only would like around 20 car's max as i will take my time on each car there will be more than just 1 power up i wiil also give the owners diognostics eg car running to lean/rich maybe needs more /less timing so on ,there will also be food and drink for those who participate cost will be $65 all inclusive ,anyone can come and watch, $5 to spectators that want to eat and drink.

o yeh the car does hav a problem seems like old motor dont like been driven to hard, oil is coming out from the top of the motor, the manifold gasket seems to be leaking so im pulling it apart tomorrow,as well as the front of the motor,want to clean up and spray the pulley and brakets make it look a little bit better with out redoing the whoe motor, but dont worry should b ready 4 sat

Bob Meally (Peakhurst) built my engine. No I have not had it on the dyno.

It goes hard for a 289 but my old 347 with webers was awsome.........................I just have to wipe away the tears. ;]

steve from sr performance has been working on my car today seems like there were a few little problems but where getting there where up to 273hp @ wheels at 14.1 afr way to lean so abit more tweaking tomorrow ,280s hear we come my previous best was 261hp @ wheels

the dyno is alot less harder on the car than drag racing ,at the drags you launch hard on take off and rev the hell out of it through the gears ,on the dyno if its manual steve will drive normaly through the gears untill he gets to fourth gear at about 90kph he will nail it and look at afr's at the same time to make sure its safe ,for auto kick down rods will be disconnected and in drive at simular speed he'll nail it. its over before you know it ,if you have sensative ears bring ear plugs its as noisy as hell:+
im looking forward to meeting some fellow mustang rev heads and puting faces to names , if anyone has kids there more than welcome ,my 12 year old is coming and a few other kids are coming as well

Well the fan belt was mine and somehow caugh up in some wiring and melted all the harness near the battery, Im going to order a new painless wiring, these wiring issues are driving me (and the mrs)mad, anyway Yes Uncle may I have a spinn of your automobile.;]

mines a 351 and made 285hp yours is a 289 even if it is 30thou over still makes it under 5 litres 322hp is huge, as for the vic junior manifold it might give a few more horses but i can guarantee that you will lose abit down low.
ill be running my stang down the 1/4 again on the 23rd of sept at the v8 owners forum private track day ill be aiming for 12's this time i think i will get there the car is making 30hp @ wheels more than last time and more torque than when it ran a 13.2 ,if anyone is interested there are some spots left cost is $210 maximum of 50 cars only, you will get 50 runs in if you wanted to steve from sr performance is going and the silver cv8 monaro at the dyno day is going as well steve will be taking that blue z06 corvette which made 427hp to the drags

I mite take you up you understand...I ordered the painless wiring 20121 its a fully assembled 14-circuit fuse block complete with 12 modern blade type micro fuses and 2 relays. Includes a preterminated a/c harness for Mustangs with factory air and an accessory relay for use with fog lights or fuel pump. This five section wiring harness feature pre-printed, color-coded, high-temperature TXL wire, I hope I can jiggle the wires about, i can drop the steering wheel for better access.It should be here in 7 to 21 days, so in the mean time Imm patching it up. As they say " If dem tirers aint burnin I aint learnin!Ill let you know Im a little tied up sorting out wats the damage here.

There definitely were two Stangs and Hevn67 gunned it past the Roundabout.I was impressed with the Sound.

I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or puke geez ech what gives with the music, but seriously was that axle tramp i heard on the video cause it looked like you short shifted from 1st to second ,gearing looked okay you definatly need more grip of the line so you can make better use of 1st gear i reckon there is a couple of tenths changing from barbara streisand to acka dacka:+

i recon the stang will be in the high 14 - 15 bracket, i want to see wat she dose before i start on the motor upgrades.

hey viv i was looking at a 69 when i was on the hunt, and ended up with a 70 instead. ull hav to put a pic up 4 all to see ur baby :(:(

what ya think ech might be better of going across at about 6000rpm maybe 3.7's would be better or you could put a bigger stick(cam) in it and raise the peak power to a higher rev

I would love to up the comp to 11.1 and stick a cam in to make power to 7k.

First the fan belt would slip and the battery was going flat then I replaced the belt and within 100k's it spat the belt, so I put a new belt on and I thought it was just a crap belt, then the radio was flickering the the engine would intermittently cut out then whooska! a cloud of smoke as the wire from the battery to the alternator cooked extra well done. I checked the harness ,striped what was left of the harness and done a close inspection and me not being a forensic genius came to an uneducated conclusion that some thing had gone west ! but what, I patched up the harness while I wait for a new one and I thought Id take the alternator to my Dr Sparkey for a checkup.
What he found painted the picture, The noise suppressor which was fitted inside the unit had cum outa its carrier and was jiggling around inside until it struck a home run and welded itself between a power component and earth, which explains the smoken of my harness.
The alternator was a chrome one I bought from Ebay through a vendor whom was selling them for a couple of hundred bucks, I suppose that adds to the old saying "you get what you pay for".
But never mind at least I found the fault, it coulda been worse!

Post by: TOYBOS on September 10, 2007, 09:18:02 pm: hi chris sounds grate id love to come down, ive run into more problems with the car, as u know i took the inlet manifold off to fix the oil leak, while i had the carbie off thought id send it away to get it service. was told the thing was full of particals, and advised to check the fuel tank,so out came the tank and its full of rust,which explains the bad flat spots i get when i try to excellerate, any way if i can get a new tank in time and finish a couple of other things ive started(im my own worst enermy.if their was a trothy for the car that was pulled apart the most id win) while the car was jst sitting their ill be more than happy to join you and the camaro club for the dino day :(.
