Hi,
I need one rear brake drum for a 1965 V8 Mustang. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks,
John

Give Stewart a call at Brake Place Mitcham (Moved to Bayswater North).
Pretty sure he kept the old phone number: 98723311
Evan.

You could try https://www.vmaxbrakes.com.au/ford-mustang-v8-1960-1973-rear-brake-drums-rda6646
I know it says a 'pair' but they come in separate boxes so they may sell them individually. I bought a set last year from this place.

This is another that I am looking at. I want to make sure they have some in stock before I place an order so I sent an email. They havent replied yet though

@Ewan, I contacted Stewart today but he said that at the moment he doesn't have anything. Apparently there is a bit of a shortage
@Gallop, I have sent them an email seeing if they will sell a single. If they don't I will probably get a pair from them. Their price seems pretty good.

For anyone interested I bought a pair of these

Thanks,

Best to replace as a pair anyway. Same goes for the shoes.
-
Make sure you do your homework on that one as l’m pretty sure they didn’t make Mustangs in 1960, and there would have to be variations on drums over “13” years..,
Measure your existing drums first…,
-
The RDA6646s will fit. I bought and fitted them to my 66 last year. Prior to purchasing, I measured to make certain they were correct. I know skinner36 is chaing drums for a 65 .... well I own a 65 as well and the RDA6646s fitted my 65 also.

Fair enough, my immediate concern was raised when I read the add, and thought if they can’t get the heading for the add correct, the drums will be a lottery, just like the sites for brake boosters when they say one size fits all., um.., no….,
