We own a 2016 Ranger XLT. During its recent September service, I was given a Lightening Blue 2017 GT Mustang for a courtesy car!!
After desperately trying not to gush girlishly over the car in front of the service advisor, Danny, I tentatively climbed into the car of my dreams...
So, of course it was straight round to my darling's workplace to show him how awesome it looked on me!
:hi:
And that was it.. decision made!
I am fresh to this amazing realm of Mustang ownership, and once the word got out at work too, I was told by a great friend there.... who happens to be working on a '74 Datsun Z-something or other.. that I should join a club... and I found you all! I am in love with the look of our Mustang and am currently chasing a deeper growl... catback exhaust? I look forward to any and all tips you may have for me! :thumb:

Hi Cherie, welcome to the forum. Nice car. I friend of mine is taking his Ranger into Ford this month for a service,, and he is also getting a Mustang courtesy car for the day. Could he end up with a new Mustang?
-
I guess we shouldn't rule it out?!
The advisor said ' Oh, we have no courtesy cars left... I'll have to give you a Mustang...' :thud:
Clever sales tactics!

Thank you for the welcome too Colin!

There’s a Borla type S that is available in a catback system.
Also salesman said they normally just do two Roush mufflers on the new cars they sell at the local dealer.
I’ve got a Borla touring on mine which is good enough for me but is still fairly quiet.

Thank you Brett!

Nice car Cherie, it will give you lots of smiles per gallon. Normally I am pretty good at working out the meaning of custom number plates but yours has me a bit stumped.

Hi Pete!
It's the name of a stunning creature found in ancient Nordic mythology.
"The Great Grey Stallion, Sleipnir, is the pride of Odin's steeds. The issue of the most powerful stallion of the Giants - Svaðilfari - and the trickster god Loki. The eight-legged Sleipnir is gifted with the ability to transcend the various realms of the world"

Thanks for clearing that up Cherie. I bet you get asked that quite a bit. Instead of studying the pretty girl that sat in front of me in class, I should have concentrated a bit more in my Ancient History lessons when I was at school many years ago. :thud:

 She must have been a stunner?!
Yep, we all have our quiet little obsessions. One of mine is Heathen Mythology.
V8 Pony vs 8 Legged Stallion ... just seemed logical for my car :smile01:

Welcome to the forum Cherie. I've just finished watching the Vikings series.
-
Thanks Mark! This forum is so awesome! I'm soaking up as much as I can from this "Well of Wisdom"
Yeahhh, I loved that series! I haven't really watched many since Ragnar died tho.
I've been reading about Uhtred of Bebbanburg. The Saxon Series by Bernard Cornwell. I'm on the 2nd to last book now.
The Last Kingdom series on Netflix is based on this series. Viking glory! :evilone:

Love the car and love the name!
