Title: 1967 Coupe Restoration
Post by: Azz67 on September 26, 2013, 05:33:40 pm
Hey all,

I've come to really enjoy reading everyone's build threads on here these last few months so I thought I'd start one of my own so here goes.
This is my first foray into the world of mustangs having held a long time desire to own one.

She was a San Jose native springtime yellow factory ac and p/steer.

This is how it looks at the moment..
(http://i1331.photobucket.com/albums/w587/lynx1976/photo5_zpsf1bb4670.jpg) (http://s1331.photobucket.com/user/lynx1976/media/photo5_zpsf1bb4670.jpg.html)

This is how it'll look...
(http://i1331.photobucket.com/albums/w587/lynx1976/red6725_zps0601955d.jpg) (http://s1331.photobucket.com/user/lynx1976/media/red6725_zps0601955d.jpg.html)

It will be hauled along by a 5L EFI 351 windsor, auto, power steer, aircon, finished in sting red with white lemans stripes the works it promises to be a head turning beast I'm sure.
The work is being done by the guys at Classic US Muscle cars out of rowville melb and Dylan has been great with getting things going. They're also currently building Ron Mexico's awesome 65 GT coupe...
I'm keen to tap into the huge pool of knowledge thats on the forums here and learn a thing or two along the way about these awesome cars..

Til later.

nice paint on the motor, very stealth.

Hey all happy to report some nice progress being made on the 67.
The engine has been reco'd and is now in its rightful home, along with other engine bay shiny bits nice alloy rad and 16" thermo fan...
The dash work is coming along nicely, I love the styling in these cars.
I was fortunate enough to get hold of an original front bench seat from the guys at US Classics so its upholstered and waiting for its final resting place.
Excitement levels growing by the day, not long now...
Til next time :burnout:

Hey all time for a little update. Shiny bits are starting to go on with most of the external work all but done. Windows, seals and trims going in.
Suspension and undercarriage upgrades also going in.

The fellas are doing a great job, adding a few little extras and details along the way. Amazing job in whats now been just a little over a years worth of work.
Excitement levels reaching fever pitch now I can tell ya.
Good times.
