Title: 1967 12 slot wheels, Factory or not
Post by: Tiny on January 13, 2024, 03:51:15 pm
Hi all, when I bought my 67 390 GTA Coupe it came with 'Fomoco' stamped 12 slot chrome wheels with push on dress ring and GT hub caps.  I was told that some 67 Mustangs had genuine factory 12 slot wheels.  Is this correct?  I didnt think the 12 slots were factory at all but I am assured they are and that they are not common.

thanks

Near the wheel nut mounting area on your 12 slots there is a date code.
Could you please post it.

Yes, the date code is 8MB.  See pic.  Thanks for letting me know that 68's had the 12 slotters.  Are these Factory Fomoco wheels rare and are they sought after?

thanks

If they're in nice condition, a '69 owner may be interested in them...

Thanks Jiffy, they would need to be re-chromed to make them look nice but they are reasonable at the moment.

Cheers
