Title: One for the Shelby guys & gals
Post by: BossKraft on February 25, 2013, 03:40:17 pm
Kevin Marti, asked me to bring my '65 Shelby GT350 & '68 fastback to his museum for the opening day display. I have left them in his capable hands. The day was attended by all the big names in the Mustang game, from Bob Perkins, Jeff Speegle, to Donald Farr, Jim Smart & Jerry Heasley. Awesome day and an amazing collection of parts to be seen.

Long trip to drive such a car from Los Angeles to Phoenix, but worth it to help a man that I respect as much as he and am lucky to be able to call a close friend. Long live Mr Marti!

Thought you may enjoy some of the 100's of pics that I have of the museum.

Below, the scene that I looked at for hours and hours, while driving out to Phoenix in the Shelby.

I love that you're not scared to drive it. I'm sure you would have had plenty of thumbs up on the way.

Hi Sean

I went to the auction on the Sunday and have alot of the same cars on my Ipad at work showing people. I found out the ringbrothers cars were going to be there so I had to go. I was in Pheonix visiting my parents. Great countryside, love the cacti.

Yes, mate, it's definitely something that should be on every car guy's 'bucket list' to attend.

Don't laugh, Rick. After the first gas stop, Lance that was traveling to the same destination, but in another car, hands me his 'noise canceling ear phones', so that certainly assisted my hearing for the remainder of the trip!
