Post by: AB on November 11, 2019, 10:07:59 pm
Hi all , new to site, some cool stuff here indeed!! I am looking for correct block for my 66 coupe GT. It lost its A code in the 70’s and was given a 68 302from the Fairlane family.
I have correct intake manifold Carbie etc .I imagine it’s a long shot but any ideas leads? Cheers AB

I have a 289 block dated 5L15 but it’s freshly bored and honed to .060.
Comes with new pistons and rings to suit.

HiCob427,  apologies for late reply, I’ve been away
with work!
That’s sounds good, I am pretty new to the ford
stuff so pardon my ignorance but the block is from a 65?
What are you asking for the parts?
Cheers

Hi
Block is 5L15 which equates to 15th November 1965.
Because the block was manufactured late in 1965 it would have gone into a 66 mustang.
The correct block for your car would be at least a month prior to your car’s date of manufacture.
Asking $250
