Title: This is a 66’ Gi006 Fastback... It’s Crazy!
Post by: Gi006 on February 06, 2020, 06:28:54 pm
A while back now, someone approached me with an idea... Several options were put on the table; this one was the best, because everything just works.

It’s got a lot of vision; as the architect of this build I had the opportunity to go deep with this vision. It’s been challenging, rewarding, with many many sacrifices having been made to get to here...

What this car is is a 2012 S197 implanted into the 66’ shell; with a whole lot of additional tech and patients.

It still needs exterior paint, upholstery, and final engineering checks; then its going up for sale. Maybe it will get sold before it’s finished; who knows... Someone will get to really enjoy it in the end for a long long time...

and that’s my vision...

Great build, was it engineered all through the build?

The original engineer was in constant consultation during design and fabrication and has since retired. Due to changes that took place a few years ago it will now be certified and registered in ACT as a modified vehicle instead of NSW.

It drives really well with a 50:50 weight distribution; spring ratings have yet to be corrected though.
