Speaking to Nifty today and he had  beens contacted by the new owner and apparently it was discovered today during a drug raid at Kuraby and was found stashed in there shed.
No details of what shape it is in but police have impounded it. Also apparently Shannons have already paid out on it.

Normally Shannons have their policies set up that you get paid out and get the remains

I think that's if you are in a crash! I can't see a insurance company going here have 40k pay out and still letting them have there car back. I'd be surprised.

Anything to do with those biker raids in Qld. recently?

They'll auction it off, there was a huge kerfuffle with the guy that had his Torana hatch stolen not so long ago; he stood the chance of being outbid on his own car; after many harsh words on the forum, Shannon reps got word (I think some were forum members), they stepped up to the plate and let him buy it back from them.
