WTB - 1965-66 mustang fastback
« on: May 31, 2020, 08:37:55 pm »
*****WANTED*****

Still looking to purchase a LHD 1965-66 Mustang fastback. Must be a relatively stock car.   Does not need to be fully restored but needs to be a driver. No tribute or project cars. Prefer an auto but not essential.  Price will depend on condition, rarity  and options and will pay good money accordingly. Looking for a car  with a special appeal about it (GT or well optioned A code).  I don't religiously look at this site so if you have a car for sale that might interest me, give me a call on 0407 847 297 George  Located in VIC

Hey George,
How much are you expecting to spend on a good 65/66 fastback.
I've got a friend with a very nice original 1966 GT350H tribute? may sell at the right price, I'll see him on Sunday.
Cheers Phil.

Hi Phil, it obviously depends on the car but I have a budget of around $75-80K give or take.

I am not particularly after  a shelby tribute car.  It would depend how far they have gone with it.

Hey George,
65 / 66 Fastbacks are the holly grail of Mustangs! Production numbers for early Fastbacks were way down.
I would like a stock standard white, blue stripe 289 auto GT350 tribute.
After making mine a restomod weapon, It seems I only wanted a cruiser! But from the start I did say I wanted something different.
And it's so hard holding it back! So easy to get caught speeding these days!
Sorry to get your hopes up.
Good luck looking though.
We may have to look overseas!
Cheers Phil.

Phil you didn't get my hopes up as I wasn't looking for a Shelby tribute car.
I am a numbers matching/stock type of guy.

Goof luck with your search
