Title: Helllppp btr behind 347
Post by: Wldhrse on February 15, 2023, 01:00:25 am
This may get very long winded...

But I have been given the bum steer by 'pros' since I started my built and I still can't get it fixed.

Every thing I read leads me to I've done everything wrong wasted alot of money and time and I may aswell torch the whole car...

I had a gearbox out of an el falcon (which from what I read is the hardest to work with because of the computers)

We have it in. And sometimes it works..but somewhere there's a glitch and overdrive drops out and the speedo bounces irratically.

But today the worst has happened...it wanted to just stay in first...

I'm not sure if it's electronic or if the box has let go somehow.

Are there any wizards in perth that have gone done this road or close to and can finally give me some correct answers or even better fix it for me.
I am litterally about to just torch what is such a fantastic car but it's driven me mental.

What gearbox are you using?
Assume you are talking about a BTR?
Are you using a standalone ECU for it ?
Are you using all genuine sensors - throttle and speed?
Have you fitted a pull up resistor in the speed sensor wiring?
Peter.

How do you fit a shaker under a non cutout bonnet.? Or is it just an illusion of the photo.?
Curious..,
