Water pump gaskets
« on: October 15, 2021, 08:15:56 pm »
Hey Brains trust,
My local auto store is having trouble getting the correct water pump gaskets for me.
I know Fel Pro 35211 and 35380 are correct, but they sell Permaseal. (WP117 was close but WP116 was for an EB XR8)
They say they’ve got the right ones coming this time but I’m not 100% sure!
The water pump is a USMW US4038 or WP3069HPUS.
Jegs are cheap and post not to bad, but I’ll give them a second chance.
Seems like Fel Pro are huge in the US.
Does anyone have a cross reference for these, any brand.
89 Mustang 5L EFI and F Series trucks. (Reverse direction)
I don’t need to buy a new pump, I just needed to push the shaft flange on further to line up my belt, long story!
Cheers Phil.

If you've never buggered anything you've never done anything!
But if you've buggered a lot maybe you're not very good at it!

Two for one is good but four for two is better!

Hi all,
More information to go by,
The timing chain cover part number, RF-E5AE-6059-FA.
It has electric fuel pump but no crank angle sensor.
Cheers Phil.

Update,
Appears the timing chain cover fitted to my engine is off an earlier EFI 5.0.
Cheers Phil.

I have the same problem, I can't find gaskets anywhere, there are only bad quality gaskets that don't last long. I recently came across an article https://www.fingerlakes1.com/2022/01/11/the-secret-to-winning-sports-betting-is-you/ that was very informative
Hey,
I think you’ve added the wrong attachment!
Can you check!
Cheers Phil.
