Been waiting for various part suppliers to have sales to pick up a few more bits for my engine rebuilt, so after receiving an email advertising the Black Friday sale l thought great, bargains to be had, no, the parts l have been watching surprisingly increased over night and with their “ 10% “ off everything the real saving is less than 4%, false advertising at its best...,

Are they Australian sellers?

Kogan copped a big fine doing almost exactly that a couple of years ago. They increased the prices by about 10% and next day had a sale with 10% off. Once the sale was over all the prices dropped back to their original price.

The ACCC 'should' love the information - but only if it is a big name I suspect.

Keep an eye on whether the prices go down again after the sale.  If they do and you've got the info, send it them with a copy of the Kogan article.
