Love your work guys, I always look forward to reading this thread, that Eleanor looks like a sweet ride with some nice horsepower, very cool :thumb:

Cheers
Keith

Hi Keith, The Eleanor is coming along. Currently waiting on a Crossflow Radiator and fan setup to arrive from the USA before we can do much more with the engine. Not sure whether we will need to move the drivetrain back a couple of inches to make it all fit.

Just fantastic stuff going on there

Hi Mark, Yes... It is all at a very technical stage. Half the crew have got a particularly nasty Flu at the moment so not a lot happening right now.

Loving the updates, keep them coming

Hi Sally, Not a lot to post at the moment, but will be ready with the camera next week.

Forgive my indulgence people, I just need to put the following wiring diagram up. Fitting a Pertronix Ignitor11 and Flame thrower Coil to the  68 6 cylinder Coupe and need to replace the resistor wire so have to get my head around the wiring.

Hi Macka, Angelo`s Eleanor will certainly have a bit of grunt! I do not know the specs of the engine but maybe Brad or Jeremy can chime in and list them.

Some of you may remember the photo showing the 2 Mach1`s on Pole position at Bathurst while we were on the way to the Newcastle Nationals -

Well... Today Brad and Fiona managed to take Pole in the Nissan -

Nissan Patrol that is ...

They are on the way back to Adelaide having picked up our latest purchase from Sydney.. A 1973 Mach1

Pity it was so wet. They would have liked to do a few laps in the Mach1

Re: Time for an update Eleanor on the way to QLD
« Reply #1231 on: July 24, 2014, 09:00:15 am »
Yep... It is certainly my favourite Mustang photo :thumb:

Body and Paint on the QLD bound Eleanor is finished. Jeremy and Blutey delivered it to the car carriers late last week for the big trip. It is probably basking in that QLD sunshine by now.

The car is a stunner. While it was parked outside the office just prior to leaving we had people driving in off the street to check it out. Here it is -

We were sorry to see it leave -

The lucky QLD owner is going to be one happy chappy! :thumb:

In other news Jeremy is headed for the airport right now on his way to Florida. He will be staying with Matt and Sheri for a couple of weeks. Matt rang through some orders yesterday so Jeremy is loaded with all their favourite Aussie lollies.

Have fun!

Thanks Guys and Girls.

Thought it was a good time to Update the Thread in an attempt to get away from the sadness and bickering of this week.

Here is a XP Falcon Futura Coupe that came in to have some suspension and brake work. Very tidy car -

Tony Steele`s 70 Mach1 is having a final wet rub before paint -

Next Post Blackthunder`s excellent 1970 Mach1 receiving a bare metal respray.

Hi Dale, Agreed - We all have a soft spot for Emberglo :thumb:

Barry ( blackthunder1970 ) has entrusted us with the job of a bare metal respray on his 1970 Mach1. This is no ordinary Mach1. It is a 428cu.in Cobra Jet with Drag Pack - a rare car indeed. In the following article these Mustangs are described as "The Star of the Stable"  -

http://musclecars.howstuffworks.com/classic-muscle-cars/1969-ford-mustang-mach-1-428-cobra-jet.htm

At some stage the car had been painted Purple - maybe in the Alvin Purple era -

Yesterday the front and rear screens were removed, then the car was extensively taped up before Blutey and Luke removed the Purple paint with Aircraft Paint Stripper. Next the stripper was neutralized with Thinners followed by sanding the body to reveal how that metal has stood up through the years. We were pleasantly surprised. The only rust was a couple of bubbles in the bootlid. No problem - Barry is going to replace it with a new old stock bootlid. Body damage is absolutely negligible. A few minor dings in the doors and a couple of metal patches in a front guard. Check it out -

Nice car Barry. :thumb:

Hi Mark, Barry wants the car painted in the original colour which is Medium Blue Metallic. Interesting to note that both 70 Machs in for paint are having the same colour.

Hi Unilec5544, Thanks for your kind comments.

Will need to confirm this with painter Luke, but I believe we still use Protec Paints 604 Line which is a clear over base 2 pack.

Hi Sally, I think it is time to go and have that hernia operation..........Bugger!
We started the latest reno project a couple of weeks back. The boys have been helping a lot but this old fart got a bit carried away ripping up old floors over the weekend.
