Time for a bit of an update... again!
Had a pleasant surprise upon walking into the workshop on Saturday. Those who follow the Thread will remember the drunk driver crashing into Ben and Biancas car at the Nationals - this car - Note the numberplate - SHOPONY
We repaired the car for Ben and Bianca and all is good.
Imagine my surprise on Saturday when I saw this car up on the hoist - note the numberplate -
Took a moment to realise it is SNOPONY, not SHOPONY
Turns out Ben and his Dad have been restoring this car for the last year or so. They have done an excellent job including the undercarriage with all the correct markings. More photos -
Ben, Congratulations! The car looks excellent. Ben and his Dad are taking the car to the Roundup in Melbourne this weekend and will enter the car in the Show and Shine. Hope you Melbourne guys check it out.
We have been working on the 67 Fairlane 2 Door Started out with a check of the undercarriage and we found a rusty front passenger floor. Blutey welded a new section in while the boys took the rest of the undercarriage back to bare metal -
They then decided to do the engine bay as well -
Ended up going the whole hog and removed all the old suspension and steering so that it can be renewed. The Classic, Classic car Snowball.
Not going fancy with the undercarriage, just etch primer, surface primer then satin black.
Next post Kym T`s 64.5 Coupe resto begins.
Rocket.
