Rod it was a pleasure to meet you all this weekend, great cars and people in one spot, doesn't get much better!
Excellent result in the Concourse, good to hear all the effort and long hours paid off.
Glad to hear Ron's car won a silver too, he told me the points had failed yesterday but the Silver must have put a smile on his face.
Have a safe trip home and thanks for the pics you put up for me, I still can't figure out how you got the front bumper to shine like that in the picture, your a legend :thumb:

Hi guys, Thank you all for the well wishes. Much appreciated.

Feel a little hung over this morning for some reason

The NSW and ACT cars left early this morning to begin the long journey home. We plan to have a relaxing morning before loading the cars onto the trailers. The SA crew begin the trek home tomorrow morning.

We are thrilled to bits for Ron. There was an award given out for all Concourse cars, so in effect Ron has 2 awards at his first outing. Will get some photos of Ron with his car and the awards later. Ron worked his guts out for the last 3 months building the car, as did Luke, Blutey, BradF and Jeremy. Well done guys.

Our electrical gremlins are very minor - Wish you were here Jack - and will be sorted very quickly now the pressure is off.

Off to find some tomato juice.

Matt and Sheri, Jeremy was determined to speak ith you last night to offer Birthday wishes to Sheri :hi: :thumb:

Hi Denton, The pleasure was all ours mate.

We were looking for you at the display - wanted to take a photo of yourself with your car, but could not find you. Love your car too :thumb:

Thanks again for your assistance. If you ever come over to Adelaide come stay with us. We would love to return your hospitality.

I don`t know how I made your bumper shine like that either - although I am sure it is good anyway. A few more shot of your gorgeous Mach 1 -

Thanks again.

Jack, I was referring to your auto electrical skills. :smile01:

All the gang decided to go and do some sightseeing today. They are not interested in lifting the bonnets on the cars till they arrive back in Adelaide. Later on they will just put the cars in the trailers in preparation for their departure.

I know mate and thanks for the vote      However                I still wish I was there and not here.  :smile01:
The offer I made before you went still stands.

Get the cars home and I will sort them out then

congrats Rod and the boys  :singing:

they must have been judging hard
Q is the only car I have seen, and actually helped with and the thing is incredible, the detail that is on it would blow anyone away.
so with that being said Rod you and your boys have done a great job too to score a silver

congrats to everyone who entered concourse

Hi Shane, Yes... I am very proud of the boys and the work they all do, and yes - it is a pleasure heading off to work each day.

So glad you keep track of this Thread - I worry that I am just an old fart rambling on sometimes  :bolt:

Thanks.

Hi jusTANG, You are correct. Many have suggested the Judging was very strict this year. No problems with that, it means that when we receive the score sheets we can analyze them and see what it will take to go one better next year :smile01:

Totally agree with you about Q too. It is a sensational car. :thumb:

Hi Tim, Thanks mate.

The SA crew are packing their vehicles ready for departure in a couple of minutes. Three day drive for them, but a much longer drive for a couple of cars from McKay in Queensland who are travelling with the SA crew as far Port Augusta. :burnout: :burnout:

The girls and I are taking the easy way - headed for the airport in a few minutes. :thumb:

Hi MachAttack, Thanks. The girls and i are back home after an easy flight.

Have not spoken with the boys yet, hopefully they are making good time to their first stop at Balladonia tonight.

Several people have expressed interest in purchasing the Blue Mach 1 while we were in Perth. Will know more in a couple of weeks.

Hi Geoff, Thanks. After all the problems we had, it was an absolute relief to us to return with the 3 Silver awards.

We were blown away with the assistance we received in Perth, from Denton and also the guys in the car park when fitting the distributors did not go smoothly. I do not know all of their names but some were Steve Kidd, Sean McDonough, Vic from Queensland, Kym Turner and others - sorry i do not know all the names yet. So yes indeed - Hooken up a brother is indeed alive and well.

Those WA cars that took out awards were all stunners, as were the many WA cars on display.. I am hoping that a list of the award winners is posted so that we can put names to the cars. Pity we do not see them in the Eastern States.

To the WA Organisers of the Nationals - Congratulations - You put on a superb show. We all had a fantastic time! :thumb:

Congratulation's to the Crow eater crew, 1 on taking home the silverware, 2 on overcoming every road block thrown at you and now that the presures off, here's hoping that you blokes enjoy a trouble free cruise home and let your acheivement really sink in.... :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
