Luke and BradB gave Ron`s car a scuff and buff today -

Jeremy managed to source an Air Cond Compressor, but it means the Auto Electrician wants the car at his workshop for a day to fit the Compressor and Gas it up.

Ron has also decided to have a complete new exhaust fitted so we lose the car for a day and a half to have that fitted, which does not leave us much time to get the car finished. There is little over a week left.

BradF is busy working on the Blue Mach. There was a very slight oil leak from the sump gasket, so it is up on the hoist with the sump off at the moment. This gave Brad time to clean the undercarriage while the car is up in the air -

Hi Mark, Brad figured it is much easier to do it now while the car is on the hoist. At Newcastle last year Monique and Fiona were under the cars with a toothbrush to clean the undercarriages after the trip.

Hey guys, Last year we ran a Thread about the Nationals within this Thread. We can do the same this year or i can start a seperate Thread in the Mustang Chat section. Any opinions?

Keep it together, Rocket. It's good to what you guys are up to and what is new. It all relates, keep it together I think.

OK Guys, We will keep it on this thread.

Only photo i will be able to take on the way to Perth is a shot out the plane window as we fly over the top of the convoy

Yes... I am flying over with Monique and Michelle. Do not feel the need to drive over the Nullabor. I will ask one of the others in the convoy to take some photos during the trip over.

Wow! That is one humungus fish. Tuna?

Had no idea you are a talented big game fisherman. I guess it is all about enjoying yourself. The car will be there when you are ready.
You should speak with Jack - He is also a mad keen fisherman. He was quite disappointed to find he could not get on a charter boat out of Beachport at Christmas time.

You are more than welcome to put up photos like that anytime. Well done!

There is an air of urgency in the workshop now. Not long to go and still quite a few jobs to do.

Bonnet has been fitted -

Stripe man came in to fit the stripes -

Rear Spoiler has been fitted -

Door Trims are on and rest of Interior being fitted -

Brad and Jeremy fitted the Sump back on the Blue Mach 1 -

Whoops - i see there are a few scratches on the bottom of the Transmission Pan. Another job for Luke.

Jeremy brought the Red Mach in today to paint the Bonnet -

Ron`s Mach has now gone to have the new Exhaust fitted, then on Monday it will be at the Auto Electricians to have the Air Cond done, so will be no more photos of his car for a few days.

 Haha, It all looks easy i guess, but right about now is the time that nerves start to get a bit frayed. If we had not painted the Patrol Blue, we might be a bit further advanced. LOL!
Who suggested doing that? :bolt:

A few of the things that have gone wrong this week - Ron`s freshly reconditioned steering pump has sprung a leak. Somehow we have to find the time to remove it and take it back to the reconditioner to have it fixed.
We never knew the sump on the Blue Mach had developed a slight oil leak until it was up on the hoist. Thankfully, Brad F has fixed that.
The paint that our supplier recommended for the bonnet blackouts worked well on Ron`s car, but on the Blue Mach it looked Grey - so we have to do it again. Bugger!
The Air Cond people let us down badly by not having a recond compressor ready. Luckily, Jeremy was able to source another.

So it is not all beer and skittles, but i think we will get there son.

Ron`s new Exhaust System was fitted by Dave Bills today - Half a day sooner than anticipated - Thanks Dave, as usual it was excellent work.

Finally those butt ugly old wheels were taken off and Ron`s Magnum 500 wheels fitted. The car is now very close to being finished -

Check out those Exhaust Tips

Will be hard to get Ron`s bum out of the drivers seat now! Don`t bring her back dirty Ron
