Hey Rod
Someone said the car looks as tho its bleeding.

If I offered you 50 bucks for your Flex so I could use the parts would you take it??.........Noooooooo????
OK so if I said there is a component in it that senses when it is level or on an angle and that bit is busted and requires replacing and it costs 200 bucks and would take 2 months to get here and I delivered it back to you working in a highly polished car would you believe me then??????????          Noooooooo?????

OK the bl@@dy thing is working. Very simple fix.

O yeh . Get your phone outa the car........... :bolt:  I'll probly drop the flex in Saturday.

Hey Jack, The car IS bleeding.........bleeding good! :thumb:

You ...Are...A....Champion!
Lets see. If it requires a part that costs $200 and you brought it back in 2 months in a highly polished car - then i would say its a bargain :thumb: Heck i would even supply the pads and polish.
But too late... You let the cat out of the bag  :bolt: A very big thankyou for fixing it. You must be talking about that silly little box that looks like an afterthought inside the Flex. :leaving:
How about i just polish both machs for you? That - i will consider a bargain. Would like to have a go at polishing up the 69mach

How did you know the phone is in the car? It is probably welded to the bottom of the centre console by now. If i get it out of there i will probably lose the darn thing.

We will not be at work on Saturday. Can we leave it till next week?

Thanks again.

Funny that, I opened up the page today and thought, Eww, what am I looking at?

It's going to look awesome when finished.

Long winded reply lost.
2nd go ..........not long winded.
Unit starts and runs at all speeds in any orientation.  I want to test it under load hence the request for a pad.
You are reading my mind re the 69.

Long winded reply lost.

Did you accidentally hit the Esc. button while typing?

Either way, if you ever lose a lot of typed out text, next time try hitting Ctrl+Z to undo the last action or two - sometimes it can be all retrieved.

Hi Jack, Cannot tell you how thrilled i am that you fixed the Flex :thumb: Thankyou!

If you want to give it a good try out on the 69 that is great. Some before and after pics would be great. Take your time i will not be using the Flex next week.

If you do a large area be a bit careful. You will be using muscles that normally do not get a big workout, so you might get a bit sore until you get used to it. First time i used a buff - i was sore for a couple of days afterwards.

Ron has 2 different polishes and each of the pad colours. Explanatory note enclosed.

Hope you enjoy it.

Hey Rod
Didnt learn how to fix your flex overnight. Also a long time ago I found out you dont jump onto a strange horse and expect to be able to stay on his back.  :thud:  Station hands have this cute way of finding out how good you can ride.   :lmao:
Soooooooooo I dont expect to become a expert polisher in a day even tho I have been following your tutes on another thread. Also I dont think the 69 is a good project to learn on. It could determine wether I polish or paint .

 Thanks for the thought .

Oh well... We all have to start somewhere.

How did you go on that horse the first time? :event:

The Flex is safe. Would be difficult to cause a problem, but happy if you leave the 69 mach to me. :thumb:

That is a good shot Jack.

It is on the underside of the Radiator Support Panel. Anybody able to decode it ?

Rocket.

I asked around to some solid people that should know a thing or three and was told "It is just the date when it was inspected, nothing more other than what "station" the inspector was inspecting. Whatever it was, it was after paint. "
Also linked up the car's photo bucket and was told That Indian Fire 69 needs to be restored back to factory specs. That is one beautiful car.  :thumb:  looks like you have a great car in everyone eyes.

Hi jusTANG

Thanks for the info.  :thumb:
Do you mean some people would rather I didnt have it painted wild violet with flames and tub it 10 inches with a built 502 and lakes pipes??
Plans are to restore it completely to original

Hey Rod
Run the flex in comparison with another machine today.  Flex is lighter and altho having noticably more torque is a lot easier to handle. Which of course means it has less rotating mass.  However it does not slow down with increasing load(more pressure) unlike the other unit and varying speed transition while using it is smooth. You may not like it like this.  If you dont I will be happy to take it off your hands for the price of your new Chinese unit.  :lmao:   :bolt:

I am confident I will manage machine polishing after giving both units a tryout and may see you sooner than later this week. I want your advice on the paintwork on the ute.  Course I am not interested in looking at the red car either.........

Question   How do you clean the pads.  The orange one is dirty from the front valance of the 69.

   :thumb: Ha Ha. Jack, you have just described very eloquently why the Flex is such a great Polishing machine!

What was the other machine you were using?

Part with the Flex! Me! No effing way!!!!!

It is easy to use, that is for sure. Have you ordered yours yet?

Cleaning Polishing Pads can cause marital problems. Does Briar ever let you near the washing machine? If not, fill the sink with warm water and some dishwashing liquid, put the Pad in there and let it soak for a couple of hours, then use a nail brush or similar to brush the polish/dirt off, then rinse and put it somewhere to dry.
My missus hated me doing it either of those 2 ways, so i have a special Pad cleaner called DP Pad Rejuvenator. Simply use the supplied measuring cup (small) to tip some in a bucket of water. Allow a cuple of hours soaking. Use the brush on top of the Pad, wring out, then blast it with the hose, wring it out again, then put it somewhere to dry. All done outside - saves arguments!! :kickass:

Look forward to seeing you through the week. Think your car is being painted tomorrow - if Luke decides to show up. :toetapping:

Jack, You got it in one.

This is the stuff -
http://www.waxit.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=127&category_id=35&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

But on the above link, it says to put 3 scoopfuls into 10-12 litres of water. I disagree. Use just one scoopful into a standard bucket of water, let the pads soak for a couple of hours, use a stiff brush to agitate the pad, put it back in the bucket then wring it out a couple of times before hitting it with a strong jet of water. Using 3 scoops you would run out of product too fast....unless that is the idea.

Mark, Does that mean your wife would not let you use the washing machine either? What is it with women and washing machines? Geez - i let my wife use the lawnmower :bolt:

Jack, We are getting very close to paint. Panels are bolted back on. Luke has spent the day adjusting gaps and preparing the new headlight bucket. Paint should be tomorrow. Nice and hot which is good.

Your right Rod. I tried to tell her that while the pads are in the machine they clean the inside of it but she wouldn't buy it.
