I have a set of engine mounts in a box up inside my ceiling I could pull out if no one gets back to you but it will be a real pain in the a$$ for me to get to them i reckon art least 45 mins to find them and measure and then put it all away again.
If no one replies let me know and I will do it as a last resort.
I have found plenty on the internet stating the holes are 7" apart (177.8mm) but I don't know what the hole diameter is.

So if we work on the diameter of the whole 1/16" bigger than the bolt that would make it a 1/2' hole so by rights the distance from center of hole to center of hole should be 7 1/2" (190.5 mm)

Might be a good idea to slightly elongate one hole on each shield so you have a bit of wriggle room.

I got a pair of engine "legs" similar to these http://www.motofeet.com/ just so I could move engines around the garage when I was swapping them over and for some reason they fit the old 289 perfectly but I had to slightly grind a hole a bit oval on one side to make it fit the 5.0 roller cam engine I replaced it with. Only 1/16" or so but it just wouldn't fit otherwise. Go figure!
