got my first stang yesterday (my first car ever actually) and the word happy doesnt quite cover it. ill post some photos etc when i figure out how to do it, its a '66 coupe and regular forum users will already have an idea of it.
bought it from a fellow forum member i met through U2U and its sitting snug in a lockup :+:+

oh and ill be becoming a member too soon but cruises etc might be a little far off as i cant legally drive it yet, need to make it heavier lol

Put a blower on it, they're heavy.... and a 9" diff.

If that's to overcome restrictions on what cars first year drivers can use, then it would be safest to keep the added weight down low.
Keeping the tank full adds quite a bit of weight without any modification, then maybe some sheet lead under the carpets would be unobtrusive, and it's off the shelf at Bunnings. I'd be inclined to paint it both sides before dropping it in, and keep your tyres pumped well up.
I suppose the added weight on the suspension is no different than always taking four burly passengers with you.

Congrats Mike, my first car was a 1000cc Morris Minor! WOULDN'T PULL THE SKIN OFF A RICE CUSTARD - BUT I LUVD HER. As you know my last car is a '66 GT coupe!
