Title: Bonnet springs for fiberglass bonnet
Post by: zlat347ci on September 15, 2022, 11:01:13 am
what springs are people using for fiberglass bonnet?

I noticed there's a softer Shelby spring? do these work well? or is there an alternative?

the standard weight spring puts alot of pressure on the glass bonnet and bulges in the center.

cheers.

Awesome thanks mate. was thinking about the prop rod but might be annoying after a while.

Wonder if anyone has retrofitted small struts and used the factory style hinges not the billet versions.

Hey Zlat,
Try Bunnings or a Bolt shop, Century springs may have something to suit.
Cheers Phil.

funny you say that, i actually tried the centuary springs yesterday which fitted well however not enough tension to hold the bonnet open.
