Title: 2001/2 Cobra Steering Rack Ends
Post by: jiffy on June 14, 2022, 10:13:38 pm
Hi guys - wondered if anyone had any parts advice.

My steering rack ends need replacing on the Cobra - the rack I believe was sourced from a European Fiesta, but I don't know which year or whether the Fiesta Rack Ends (mine are worn) would fit.

Anyone have any source / info / experience with these type of parts?

Could a competent repairer measure the old one up and check them online and say "aha, these are the same as a Yugoslavian Trabant made in 1926!!" or something like that?

Maybe try one of the UK car forums.  Someone might recognise the caps.

Is it worth asking Tickford what they used?

I'VE DONE MINE. jUST GOT SOME MADE FOR ANOTHER CLUB MEMBER AND THE ORDER GOT DOUBLED. bUT i THINK HE HAS SOMEONE FOR THEM. I got them made by the bloke who originally made them for Tickford. He has a suspension place on the Central coast.  Suspension Concepts  Greg Nolan. 0414 244 790 . Tell him what they are for and he can make them for you.

Correction to the above Post My mistake. I thought Jiffy was after the Nolathane bushes that mount the steering rack to the chassis
