Title: Cowl Vent
Post by: Dizzy on December 03, 2021, 05:52:16 pm
Hi. Has anyone tried to fabricate a cover that operates like early Holden models to eliminate the 64-66 cowl vent opening - pull a lever to open or close the external vent opening to keep things dry when its raining or cars being washed.

I thought a simple (powered) hinged cover to replace the louvered vent opening operated by a dash/hidden switch might tidy up the bonnet line and still provide fresh air to the internal vents whilst also reducing potential rust issues

I have no mechanical skills but assume the gurus out there would have had a try before now.

Cheers

You can but perspex covers from Mustang parts suppliers specifically for this.

Yeah I have one of those stored in the boot just in case but I thought a trick powered version would be neat. My cowl area is rust free and I want to keep it that way
