Title: New member from Adelaide
Post by: Dwayne on January 08, 2016, 02:29:29 pm
Hi all

I've just bought a '65 LHD 6cyl coupe, being in SA it's completely stock and needs to stay that way to remain legal. After looking for a while, I found a solid one with very minimal rust that was imported in 2012.

The previous owner lived on a farm at the end of a long dirt road, so the car needs a damn good clean and polish, and some replacement carpets. Lots of little things to fix up over time that I'll slowly chip away at.

Dwayne

Carpet looks like it has Northern Territory red dust in it, Probably get away with a shampoo.
Cheers,

Car was left outside in full sun, so the carpet is badly faded and the paint heavily oxidised. Super quick polish with some HD cut on a foam pad and it's coming up nicely already.

Solid looking car. Main thing is you own a Mustang with minimal work to do and changing out the carpets it not a big job and there is no hurry, so enjoy taking the family on some nice rides. Is the car registered?  :thumb:

Has full SA rego, was as simple as walking into motor reg and transferring it over to my name. Certainly a big benefit of buying a car already registered in my state.
