Hi guys (and girls)
Name's Matt and i've FINALLY got hold of the car i've been chasing for a very long time.
I've just secured a 1968 J code GT from the states, and she's on her way here as we speak.
I'm importing it to restore back to it's former glory, with a modern touch.
The origional owner has included a full marti report which is handy, it's a 351 Clevland with medium cam
Close ratio 4-speed with a Ford 9 inch rear.
She has a fair few options including power disc brakes, 4 barrel carb, 4-speed, Ford 9 inch rear and GT equipment package The car only has 31,000 miles according to previous owner.
When she lands i'll spend a weekend driving on permits, then strip her back to nuts and bolts for a full restoration, (hopefully completed by powercruise this october)
i have a 500Hp 351 which i will drop in if this one isn't rebuilt in time, so she should have a bit of poke.
i look forward to spending a bit of time around here and soaking up ( and sharing) all the information i can.
here are a few pics of it as is.

i do believe it had a 302 4V from factory and was green, i'm not really a fan of green so i'm not sure what colour she'll be going, perhaps silver or a deep red.

nah definitely not, i guess half the beauty of it is that every time you drive you're reminded this isnt just any old car,
Plus being able to register it without a conversion is a bonus, i believe you don't even require "caution left hand drive" decals any longer, is that correct?

Caution LHD notice no longer required, and no longer have to take a left hooker over the pits every year (in WA).
