I agree, I love the look of 65's.
When I had my 68', I saw many 65's in my rear view mirror.
Great looking fronts.
(Go the big block 68's!!)

rockin the suburbs...

All mustangs are great, even an 88, but this 65 is the only one in my stable to date

This is what it currently looks like though - original wheels because the missus prefers them for car shows (if she comes along).

yep and mine without the alloys...the alloys were just cheap until I can find some 16" show wheels
I took the original wheels off as they were brand new and the handling was awful with the skinny tread but I will swap from time to time.

Hi all, my 65 'A' code. Has been running a mild 347 for the last few years, c4 auto and a few suspension mods.

nice car mate it should get up and go

This is our 65 K code twin turbo we built back in October 2012 for SEMA. Fist time we've ever gone all out on a "resto-mod" style build
Big fat ugly wheels, Air ride, pure white interior, 408 with a twin turbo combo punching out 772Hp at the wheels. Didnt turn out to bad considering
There's actually a fair bit of info/magazine articles and burn out vids on our website if you wanna see all of the engine bay, interior etc in the link below...you just have to scroll down the page a bit

Thanks.
Arhh it's 17s on the front 18 on the rear. helps with the stance to when it still had the old 6cyl springs in it. it's a 8 now tho.

Yeah, it looks like it sits nicely and I like the rims too. Nice style, not too big but still enough to fill the arches..
I will be looking at the 17s or 18s version of those with the grey centers..
I want my car to have a similar stance to what yours is in the side-on pic, with the arches just wrapping over the top of the wheel at the back, and about an inch lower from there at the front...
It doesn't help that mine was set up to have a V8 dropped into it, the PO never got around to fitting a new engine, so it still has the 6 cylinder he put in to get it drivable... Which is great because I can't drive a V8 for another few years, but it doesn't quite put enough weight on the springs to compress them so the ride is quite bouncy and it never really feels planted..
Put a few people in and it makes an amazing difference, the car feels like it sits a good 2 inches or so lower and it feels much, much more planted through corners and over bumps..
Of course the extra weight effects braking and acceleration, but not as much as I would have thought, but I don't think anybody ever minds cruising through town just a little bit slower in an old Mustang...

nice cars guys. :thumb:

How was that done?
Edit: just looked it up; so you use photoshop to remove the rig?

s
Spot on. 6m of Metal tubing suction stuck to the car with suction cups. 2 of them both fitted to the rear window, hangs 4-5m off the car.
Post production you photoshop the rig out. Because the camera sits under the rig, the rig is in the trees, so you need to clone the trees to remove it.
I don't have a copy of the before photoshop on me but this is another shot I did on my C63 before I removed the rig.

Hi Charliekay,
Here's a pic of your car in the build, I did the interior in your car a few years back....Twice... :thud: I had your seats all ready to go back in the car sitting upstairs in my office just before Christmas 2010 and our workshop got smashed with 4.5m of Brisbane River in the floods of Jan 2011. Its a very nice car you've got there & I hope it's going well, the whole car is better than new.

A few weeks of clean up and we were back up & running again. I'm glad it's going good, it's a great car you've got there built by quality tradesman

No build thread, I didn't do the build, the previous owner did, I have all the photos (~400 of them) plus all the documentation.

It's actually a 'members cars' thread. I didn't build mine either but I put up pics and updates, it's just a thread for your particular car and any mods, repairs, pics, etc.

Here's some pics of our '65 Shelby GT350, which resides in Kevin Marti's museum when we're not over in the States showing it, or using it as we did for the 50th Tour that we ran to Vegas.
