Post by: 65 muzy on July 19, 2011, 10:44:18 pm

Hi guys, new to all of this, just wondering if anyone has got some pics of the dash and firewall during conversion. just started on my 65 convertible, striped to a shell, blasted and ready to opperate.I'm a panelbeater but any help would be appreciated. Got all the bits, xf booster, steering box and column coupling. Done my homework over the last 3 months now its time to do some work.

Cheers

Frank

I believe there is a post somewhere on google that shows exactly how its done. Haven't seen it personally but one of my mates came across whilst surfing the net.

There is a few ways you can do it, I only have pics of 67/68 as we havent done an early one. Being a panel beater you shouldnt have much trouble, just make sure you get your steering set up first & get your column position right. Then start chopping away. 65/66 would be easier because you dont have to worry about cutting up the plastic bezels as they just reverse.
