OK everyone must be in agreement it's hard to get the power down through the factory rear tyres especially with engine mods!!!! :burnout:
Given price and durability aren't issues, what's the best tyre for dry weather grip. Remember they have to come in 275/40/19.

The best traction tyre is a Mickey Thompson et street radial SS . 3 problems are they do wear out quicker ,they only come in 285/35x19 and good luck trying to buy them at the moment as stocks are low and they aren't cheap . Ring speed pro in Vic ,st George tyres in Sydney or rocket industries in Sydney ,but I don't think they will have any in stock . The 285/35 is about 17 mm lower in total height of the tyre compared to a 275/40 tyre . Yes I run them on mine and can not spin the tyres in my automatic . Now I'm only talking about take off traction tyres not cornering .

Cheers Glenn but I want to stay more main stream, Dunlop, Continental, Yokahama etc..... Also want to stick with 275/40.
Straight line is a priority but also need good cornering!

Think most people are saying Michelin Pilot Sport 4 are the goto tyre at the moment.
Local tyre dealer said Cooper are making a very good tyre for the Mustang also.
