Post by: skip70 on October 27, 2015, 07:30:24 am
Anyone used these Maier Racing bushings? and if yes, what do you think of them?

Many years ago when I had my workshop. Taxi's that had
hard bushes fitted in the strut rods
Used to get towed in with broken strut rods.
I'm talking when XF's were taxi's.

Just ask 69ish about that .  He has broken two in his 69 and that's why we think they broke .

Also be careful extending threads on strut rods.
Suspension components should have rolled threads not cut threads.
A cut thread on a strut rod with side deflection load is much weaker.

I rekon that's why they broke as well. The only people that would disagree
Are the people selling and installing them.
I rekon  :smile01:
