Title: bezel removal tool
Post by: jaythefordman on August 12, 2013, 12:02:16 pm
Hey, hoping to borrow (or buy) said tool for a day sometime this week, is there someone here north of river that I can get hold of one?

Will be replacing the headlight switch while I have the bezel off.  Fun and games.

Cheers

Hi Jay.  I presume you mean the headlight switch bezel.  The process is pretty straightforward - did it in my 67 without any trouble.  You didn't say what year for yours. Check out "The Doc" video on how to:   Mustang Headlight switch "How To" - OperationMustang.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDyxciegjtI#ws)
Once you pull the knob out you only need a flat blade screwdriver to remove the bezel.
Good luck :smile01:

Yeah, just use a big screwdriver.. done it a heap of times, just take your time so you don't scratch anything or damage the chrome

Thanks.  It is a straight forward process, but I was under the impression that the tool better as damage can happen easily.

No worries, will give it a go.  Sorting out a bunch of wiring as we speak :)

Cheers
