Looking at 18 inch rims with a 12 inch wide tyre on the rear (305/35-18 I think) I have just lowered the the rear 1.58 inches was wondering if any one has done something similar and if so do they get any rubbing?
I do know if I got 10.5 inches in width I will need to replace the bolt that hold the chocks to a lower profile head but 12" will do.

I ran a pair of 296/35/18's on my 9.5 inch rims after the car was lowered - no problem at all, and they look the business!
