Hi All,
I have a 2017 GT and am looking at options for the spare, I want to avoid using a space saver rim & get a proper rim, preferably OEM original.
Now I know that the rear OEM rim will not fit on the Front because of the Big Brakes, but my question is, is this because of "offset"?
If for instance I put 25mm spacers on the front could the rear rim possibly work? Anyone tried this or have any ideas?
Thanks,

It's usually to do with the brake profile on the back of the rim. Spacers will possibly void insurance in the (unlikely) event you have an accident with the spaced rear spare fitted.
Why don't you just buy a front rim as your spare? It's narrower so won't take up extra boot space and will fit front & rear if needed.

Tempe tyres do a spare with tyre that fits over front brakes

I am struggling to a source an OEM front rim, plenty of rears around but fronts seem to be scarce.

given its a spare and only on until you get the tire fixed, would it matter if it wasnt OEM?
If you are trackdaying it, possible that makes a difference.....
