Tech Torque Pre 1973 / 4 speed BTR in a Mustang.
Last post by Dunwood84 - October 06, 2024, 02:28:24 PM
Hi all,

i know there are a few posts about putting BTR's in Mustangs on here, but most of the photo links are no longer working. So, if anybody has put a BTR into a Mustang, could you put up a pick of it please? I've got a 302 and a BTR sitting in my mustang, but i'm a fair way off from the original Trans mount.

Quote from: Broad-Arrow on June 22, 2013, 10:28:57 PMAre you considering driving it from Sydney to Canberra using a temporary permit?  I was looking at this option, but I understand I would need to obtain a NSW Unregistered Vehicle Permit (UVP) which would require a safety check by an authorised inspector.  I believe it would be easier to simply truck the car to Canberra.
Car Transport Companies: Look for specialized car transport services that offer door-to-door service or terminal-to-terminal options. Companies like Toll, Auto Transport Australia, or Kings Transport are worth checking out for quotes and availability.

Tow Trucks: If you prefer a more hands-on approach, you could hire a tow truck to transport your Mustang. Ensure that the towing service has experience with classic cars to prevent any damage.

Tech Torque Post 2015 / Re: Battery replacement
Last post by EdgarGreene - October 01, 2024, 01:11:37 AM
When replacing a battery, it's generally not necessary to reset the alternator charge rate unless your vehicle has specific requirements or features, like a smart charging system. In most cases, you can just change the battery like any other car. However, it's always good to consult your vehicle's manual or a professional to ensure everything is done correctly. If you're looking for a break while handling car maintenance, you might want to check out this for some entertainment!

Hi,
Has anyone tried DBA street performance brake pads?
Its not for a mustang but for a car that lack a booster.
Any improvement over stock?
Thanks

Technical - General / Re: T5 Gearbox
Last post by EdgarGreene - September 18, 2024, 09:54:32 PM
Hi, happy to help! The T5 gearboxes in the mid-1995 Falcon and the 1995 Mustang V6 are similar, but they may not be directly interchangeable due to differences in bellhousing patterns, gear ratios, and possibly input/output shafts. You'd need to confirm the specific specs of both gearboxes to see if they match up.By the way, if you're looking for something fun to do while you figure this out, check out this https://oshicasino.bet/ for some entertainment! If they don't line up perfectly, adapters might be available. It's definitely worth double-checking with a gearbox specialist to avoid any compatibility issues.

Tech Torque Pre 1973 / Re: Headers 66 Mustang

Some headers eg: Pacemaker will interfere with your power steering ram. I also have Advance Headers tri-y, ceramic coated. Fit well with my power rack & pinion.

Hi Peter,

I have a LHD 66 coupe, reasonably stock 289, auto, power steering. I used Advance Headers - http://www.advanceheaders.com.au/products/headers-extractors/ford/v8/

The headers bolted straight up, no need for a drop bracket for the power steering. I can get to the plugs quite easily. The clearance to the shock tower is about a finger but the headers have never rubbed.

Cookies Custom Pipes And Exhausts are at Wynnum

The Muffler Shop, Cleveland - I used them years ago when they were at Stones Corner.

Cheers

Andrew
