Title: My 65 fastback overhaul
Post by: RayAzza on September 18, 2014, 02:44:13 am
Test fit the 347 for pipe clearance and engine height with the fabricated mounts. The motor ended up sitting 1/2 inch higher than the 65 stock position to clear the modded sump

Next is to strip the underside and engine bay and repaint, make up some subframe connectors, rewire the car and refit everything with new running gear and front end. Trying to get it done in a couple of months.

Rust patches in place, very time consuming job that was. Started fabricating a set of subframe connectors and stripping underneath.

:thumb: Good job Ray. Were you expecting the rust in the floors or was that a nasty surprise? Seeing your car in the flesh it didn't look like you would have any rust issues.

Cheers, Andrew

Can't tell you exactly what it is but pretty sure have seen them online, it was a disc brake conversion done about 15 years ago in USA.
