Post by: Shep69 on July 06, 2022, 03:57:20 pm
Anyone done the RRS suspension upgrade.
Is it worth it or not.

I bought it all mainly 10-12 years ago. Just got through my mock up fit before going to paint recently and all fits well including the notch plates but can't comment on the actually drivability though sorry. Hope their customer service has improved as it was absolute junk and lead times on things were crazy then so be interesting to see now.

I like the idea of the rear disc in drum handbrake option though.

I have their strut suspension and power rack in my 68.
The steering is great, really precise although the turning circle is a bit larger than stock.
ride quality and stability is great , their newer struts far better then their older sets The new sets allow you to provide spring tensioning  (ride quality ) seperately from the ability to lower the vehicle. I have the 2x piston PBR setup and it works well after changing to more aggressive pads.
Agree about the after sales and lead times but have driven other club members mustangs and compared to theirs mine handles and steers like a new car.

Thanks for the info. I got a quote for the suspension, brake and power rack and it was around $10500 . Good to know it makes a big difference.

Thats pretty big dollars.

You may want to look at Sreet or Track, Mike Maier Inc or even a Cortex Racing front end ( all double A arm instead of macpherson strut).

Check out the Cortex mustang stick it too the Porsche on Youtube.
