Guys,
There is a Doughnuts and cars meet at Krispy Kreme Penrith Panthers on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 8am,
so the next one will be this Sunday the 13th July, a few of us from the Hills area are planning on making the trip out to check it out,.
Has anyone been to this before?
Cheers
Keith
-
I went last month, which was the first time the event was run. There were about 10-15 cars (muscle cars, hot rods etc) and another 10 or so modern fords. I was the only :event:.
It's right behind Krispy Kreme in the car park and Maccas is right there as well. So good for coffee, donuts or Maccas.
It was started by one of the Ford club guys, who comes to the Kellyville Coffee meet (drives a GE6 turbo, he was there today).
-
Looks like it will be worth a trip. :thumb:
-
If your going to head over Andrew, drop me or Matt a note, and we can meet up, and head out there for a look.
Cheers
Keith

Will do Keith, I'll know by the end of the week. Was supposed to be going away next weekend but looks like it might be postponed.
Cheers, Andrew

I just spoke to Craig and he said that the first meet went well with about 30 cars tho it did coincide with the springwood show and it was a good mix of cars as well and also he was speaking to someone from WSID and he might be sending some promo girls down so I'm sure that will be a bonus LOL! hopefully I will have my car back and I will see some of you guys down there :thumb:

I went out to this meet today, about 80 cars turned up, hot rods, a few GT's, torana's a few mustangs, was a really good morning, Krispy Kreme doughnuts were open and serving coffee, given it was only the 2nd month running, it will surely grow to be an excellent venue, lots of parking for cars and the doughnut shop as well.
I'm sure a few others who went will post up some photo's.
Cheers
Keith

I went for a run out to Penrith this morning, car numbers were down on last month, but still had a good morning, looking at so e of the local cars out that way.
It was good to meet Anthony (axe man), funny, he didn't come across nearly as dangerous as his forum name, quite liked his Hertz Replica, a real tidy car.
Hopefully some of the guys will post some pics up soon.
Cheers
Keith

Wow, just got in from an awesome day starting at Penrith this morning.
Anthony (Axeman) racked up some miles today in his 65` as he tagged along with Dino ,Showbags and myself for a fun filled day covering from the far west to the south east and back home again.
There was too much banter (sh1tstirring) ,along with bonnets raised this morning amongst fellow Mustangers to take any pics although I think Ray had his camera in hand :smile01: hopefully some shots will be shared soon :thumb:
Cheers
Matt
-
Thank you to all of the Mustang people who made me feel very welcome today.
Special thanks to Showbags who invited me to his house to see his amazing Shelby.. (Dino and Matt....the three car cruise was fun).
For anyone who has never been to one of these events....it was relaxed, friendly and very funny (laughed my arse off at some of the banter).
Was also great to see other peoples cherished Mustangs.
Looking forward to next time.

Hi mate,
I saw that car for sale and was watching it with interest, I'm looking forward to seeing it soon.
We have a few meets on, as follows
Sat 6th is the mystery cruise hosted by the Camaro Firebird Club, leaving parramatta pools @ 7pm, it's a great family night, it's a really good cruise night with a lot of Mustang club members and American cars, from the camaro firebird club.
The first Sunday of the month is the Kellyville coffee and cars, at Kellyville plaza, quite a few members from out your way cruise down for that one, usually get about 80-140 cars at that one.
If you want to tag along on any of them, and meet some club members, drop me an email, I would be only to happy to introduce you to the club, you will really enjoy the events and the many like minded people.
Cheers
Keith
-
Thanks for the reply guys! Depending on my situation, I could be at Kellyville and Penrith, but definitely Penrith. Looking forward to seeing all of the classics!
66 Stang, yeah I bought this car about 2 weeks ago. I don't recall seeing it advertised here????

Is anyone going to Penrith tomorrow?
Ant

The convertible is in the drive, filled up and ready to go out. The question is, where to?
Camaro Firebird Mystery Cruise tonight (postponed from last Saturday which was wet) ... heading out west I bet!
Or, American Graffiti at the Blacktown drive in (with hot rods and the Chev Club amongst others).
After that, see what the weather brings for Sunday and maybe another trip out to the 'riff.

Hi guys, I have just joined the forum
It's craig here, the organiser of Sunday Cars and Doughnuts. I would like to thank all the mustang gang for their support of the meet up every month, You always seem to turn up with good numbers
The will be a story about the meet in the next edition of Australian Street Car magazine ( issue 30 )
There has been a photographer at the February meet and also the December meet
So it should be good to get a bit of extra word of mouth for the meet up
Now I've joined I will keep you guys informed of any future details
Again thank you
Craig
-
G'day Craig,
Welcome to the forum and well done with the promotion of the monthly event.
It is always a great cruise out to Penrith ,to give the car a decent run and see a great variety of different cars & bikes each time.
Will keep an eye out for the mag. ,unfortunately I, and along with a couple of other regulars missed the Feb. meet as we had a fairly late night out to The Northern Beaches with The Camaro / Firebird Owners' Club on their annual beach run the night before,
Cheers
Matt
-
Hey Craig,
It was a great turnout and the numbers just seem to be growing, thanks for starting up a meet out our way,we know you actually travel a bit yourself to get here, its nice to know I can get out there and get to soccer right after so its the best of both worlds for me LOL!

Hi guys
just reminder about Sunday Cars and Doughnuts this coming Sunday the 12th. Should be a huge turn out going of the facebook event page saying over 480 people attending, So we should crack the 200 cars that we had last month
If you can make it, I will look forward to seeing you and your cars out there
Thanks
Craig

I ventured out to Penrith coffee and car meet, this is becoming a great car gathering, always a lot of variety, it was great to see a half dozen genuine XU1 toranas in original spec,
Today there was approx 100 cars, so always a worthwhile visit,
-
Hi guys
Sunday Cars and Doughnuts will be on again this weekend 14th of June
The numbers were a little bit down last month due to the meet been on Mother's Day
so hopefully we can get back to the big numbers of the previous months of around 250 to 300 cars
Thanks again for your support of this event
Craig

Looks pretty busy, how many cars turned up?
The event facebook page says that there were over 350 cars this morning. It is a bit of a revolving door - people come and go so there may not have been all of them there at once.
It is a great way to get your Mustang out for a bit of a run especially if you are like me and can't always put aside a whole day for a car show etc.
Also the sheer variety and quality of cars was great to see. A few more of these early morning coffee runs on a monthly basis would be a great addition for the MOCA NSW club - maybe one in the inner west for those of us in the eastern half of the city!!! Just have to pick a large carpark with a coffee shop and invite some clubs. Maybe an idea?

Looks like you all had your addiction quenched over the weekend, can't wat to get home and move my pride and joy from one parking spot to the other and hope to drive it next weekend, I'm about 5 hours north of Syd thinking about how much damage has been caused to my dear land cruiser, oh well it's only money :sarcasm:

It is certainly a great way to start a Sunday with a bit of a burn out on the M4 and a sticky beak at some spectacular cars. While I consider my car to be a good (fun) waste of time, my god the quality and workmanship in some of the vehicles that turn up to the Panthers car park really blows me away and makes me realise how little time I really spend on mine!.

Hi guys/girls,
I have a friend who's dad has been told he only has a few months to live and because of his love for mustangs she would like to organize a day/hours for a ride in one. She is prepared to pay but thought I'd be able to find a generous person among you who could help her out and donate your time and car to give him a ride, not fussed on model and she has suggested Sunday the 13th sept.
I wish I could do it but have moved my cars on and am in between at the moment
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Please contact me on mitch075@tpg.com.au or 0416 218 894
Cheers,
Matt.

No, just Penrith in the morning at this stage. I have been told that there is some very keen enthusiast's that are meeting at the Kings Park Maccas on Sunnyholt Rd.at 6.00am in the morning to head out to Penrith if anyone is interested to head out super early!
-
not sure if you have been/heard of it but its in wetherill park Matt, its a very well organised event, like harry's except very secure and lots of top notch cars and food?
-
Anyone venture out to Penrith? How was it?
I heard Cars under the Stars was packed...
-
Was an awesome turn out at Penrith, I will say over 300 cars by the look of it, everything from Porches, hot rods, classics and vintage, my pick for the day was what looked to be a late 1920's 1/2 tonne truck, complete with wooden floors, canvass roof and crank handle, looked like it had never been restored and had driven there directly from the barn, the only modern thing on it was the number plates, hopefully someone got a pic.

As always a great selection of pics. The day was great for a cruise and the company was good as well. Hopefully it won't be as hot next time. The XM was my best of the day.

Excellent pics as always John, it was great to catch up with you and the rest of the gang today.
The weather was a bit on the warm side with big numbers showing up bringing such a great variety of cars and bikes.
P.S. Fantastic front angle shot that you took of my 70 Mach...oh and my mates blown injected coupe :thumb:
Stooge's hey!

Great pics John, it was a cracking turn out, first time Ive been bumped to the grass area, must have been about 300 odd cars, certainly becoming a great event, even managed to score some free promo coffee's from the promo chics.

Sunday Cars and Doughnuts was held at the Krispy Kreme's site for the last time this month. Due to redevelopment, a majority of the car parks and grassed areas are going to be affected which means a new venue was going to be needed.
Craig from the FPV club kicked off the regular monthly meet nearly 2 1/2 years ago with around 30 cars showing up initially and up to 400+ cars a month towards the end, a great turnout in anyone's book.
It is great news that Craig has infact sourced another venue, starting from the 9th of April being the Penrith Club Paceway. With large grounds for parking and an onsite café I am sure it will be another great event :thumb:

Thanks for the heads up Matt.
I missed yesterday as I changing my club rego to the modified scheme & am off the road.
Will definitely be their next month for a coffee & catch up.
-
Yeah , no worries Andy
I actually spoke to Craig today just to confirm the details of the new location and he mentioned a Facebook page he has set up called `Paceway Cars and Coffee` if anyone is interested to get further up to date info.
I couldn`t make it out on the last Sunday either as I am currently out of the drivers seat due to recent RHS shoulder surgery! Hoping to be able to get back in the car next month, if not at least as I am booked in for the show n shine at the Nationals over Easter.
I am also going with the CVS / 60 day scheme from Wednesday as my current full rego expires this week. For $120 including the ACMC Admin. fee, CTP & initial supply of the `conditional` plates I figured that I will not be driving more than once a week + club runs and maintenance to warrant full freight Rego,
Cheers
Matt

Hey Matt,
it was a great turnout for the last at KK but Im sure everyone will be happy with the Paceway, with some luck we will see you there next month, hope your shoulder is on the mend mate. :thumb:
