Wheels have arrived. 18x9 on the rear so will put 265's or 275's tyres. Open to ideas on what is best for this size rim.

Update:
There has been a big break in between posts but its all systems go again.
I have sat down many nights lately designing the interior. As I am using BF falcon ute seats I needed to ensure whatever design I used on the front seats was consistently followed through to the rear seats. I have mocked it all up on paper and now it's upto the upholsterer to do his magic!! It will be a combination of black leather and black suede. I have also designed my own custom door cards and hope to have these finished within 5 weeks.

New parts :
* received stand alone wiring harness for the ford engine (with cruise control buttons that match the push button start)
* ordered autoworks aluminium drop tank
* ordered TMI suede headliner and pillars
* ordered vintage air compac 2 air/heat/defrost unit
* now awaiting arrival of front and rear seats

Next steps:
*Rear end, engine mounts and gearbox mounts occur in the next 2 weeks.

1 aluminium door trim panel nearly complete. Still needs leather and suede covering with recessed stainless steel bolt/washers.

Hi Shane,

These were from helix but have been modified to include adjusters. This will make adjusting the camber a lot easier.

Mate, who did you order the TMI headliner through? A local supplier?

I got it through CJ Pony parts on special. Due to its size it was a little expensive to ship but I think it'll be well worth it given the fact it can be installed after the windscreens etc. Very neat indeed.

Front seats complete. They look amazing. Leather, suede and electric blue stitching.

Photos updated inc. new top wishbone.  I hate this 150kb limit on posting images hence why all photos are held on the below site in high quality.

looks good rob, how do those seats compare in headroom height with the stock seats? will you have you to lower the seat pans to compensate if necessary?
cheers griff

Hi Griff,

They were falcon ute seats originally (BF I think). I'm using really low seat rails after seeing Heven67's installation. I have see a couple of others use this same combination and they looked good installed.

Roof clearance looked good when I mocked them up but I will also have a suede tmi headliner which gives additional roof clearance. I will post picks of the adapter plates and roof clearance once I get the car back from the workshop.

no worries rob, i find the issue with headroom for me is the low door opening and not the headlining. im either going to cut my pans down per the mustang monthly article from a few years ago or fit 69 sportsroof ones as theyre apparently 1" lower.   6'2" has its issues sometimes dammit...

Hi All,

The project is now going full steam with the engine and gearbox mounted, rear end in, sub frame connectors in etc etc.

I wanted to capture and share the details of my project in more detail and have just put together a website to cover all aspects of the build. This site will develop further as the build progresses but wanted to show you guys first.

Please visit:   www.BoostedFord.com

I will keep providing updates through this thread as I go!

Have a great weekend.

Glad you like it Ronin! The suede on the roof is a close match to the suede being used on my seats & door trim.

I will install it once the car's painted. I reckon that'll be in early November. Doesn't look too hard in the video.

ah right, I went with the black vinyl. Got it for a reasonable price too ( had a few cj gift cards saved up )
Don't think it'll be here for a few weeks at least though... :thud:
Looking forward to more updates!
