Title: right hand conversion using falcon done car
Post by: tired69 on October 15, 2018, 05:22:08 pm
Hi all.
has any body out there used  falcon fire wall and all parts required including  dash etc  and put in to a early model  stang I was wondering if you could  take out whole fire wall and cut and fit it in  instead  of chopping a mustang in to a hundred pieces  and going though all that drama.
just curious.

Not really how you do it. Though can buy new RHD firewalls from mustang auto parts in Brisbane but they are just flat and you cant use Falcon pedals etc as easily , nor fit an AC unit. As for the original one you just leave the center and make new ends.

Frankenstang has the dash and all running gear from an ED Falcon in it(https://preview.ibb.co/hsw3gL/100-0343-2017-01-13-06-51-42-UTC.jpg)

I was told about 15 years ago by someone who did conversions that a firewall out of a xa/xb/xc with about 100mm cut out of the middle will do the job. Maybe worth checking and measuring.

Ive done couple of RHD swaps and always made my own stuff, but you can buy it all new if you want.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with "Tired69"?
I've sent him a message about a RHD Firewall i have that he might be able to use.
Wanted to give him first look at it before i put it up on Classifieds.

Thanks

Steve
