Hope you guys did not suffer too much damage and get your cars sorted quickly.  I know how much time and commitment it takes to actually finish a car and keep it going so hopefully understand a little of what you are going through.

Hope this thread does not end up like a couple of others today and if a group of people had helped me  in some way I would be sticking my hand up to see if I could help anyone that needed some help.  In saying that if anyone needs a hand cleaning up or anything else please contact me and I will be happy to help.

Darren

I have removed a few messages from this thread as they were getting somewhat off the topic and given the results of the hail in Melbourne, feel the extra comments can be said on another thread.

Sorry to delete your thread but it is for the better and I am sure you will understand.

Thanks.

Phil

Caretaker65's place got hammered with the storm, as well as all us boys trying to move cars. I have seen some wild weather in my travels around the world and this day would rate as one of the strangest.

J1

A saturated Thirsty390 gets his new fastback under cover while IGALOP watches the storm unleash it's fury

Rick's Eleanor safe (just) under the rear awning. It did get hit with hail but mainly bouncing hail off the concrete floor

The wind trying to lift the tarp up over my car

Hail building up. Notice the lawn a few inches under water

The GT coping a hiding

Close up of the hail building up on the back of the GT

The camera didn't fair to well after taking these shots

Jonn racing for cover

Mustangs safe. GT out the back standing it's ground

The work area covered in hail

Should be turning off this extension lead right about now

Back yard starting to flood

sorry to hear that some members cars are damaged and sadder to hear that some of them were the mustangs ;]

boys after a good day at the range yesterday and some cool conversations about man eating chickens, panel and paint and the PDR's with Lance (muzz67). There are PDR guys and there are PDR Guys. if not done correctly they put minuet cracks in the paint which then absorb water and the paint goes to god.....
so my suggestion is do some asking maybe even a u2u muzz and see if  he knows of who's good and who if any to stay away from.
I had a 17 week old company Holden done in a storm 3 or 4 years ago and ever panel was dented. fixed with PDR and in 4 years still looked good.

Washed the fastback today.
Re-checked everything with the car clean, and I am relieved to say the roof , bonnet and guards are fine.

The boot has got a few minor hail dents, but I think the dent removal guy should get them out.

It was a nervous wash not knowing if anything else was hidden underneath.

That's right, it's a GT, and an Australian built Ford.

They made em a bit tougher down there in Geelong unlike other cars :+

The car has alot of dings already in the roof plus a sunroof that I want to get rid of, my intentions are to replace the whole roof anyway. Kerry said he would put a new turret on if I supplied it plus a few slabs of beer for him and vitamin suplements for the chooks. What a guy :(

J1

Oh yeah.. the part about Kerry replacing the roof I made up. :*
