Hi John67,

I have the ProPark 8H and love it...no complaints at all.

Got it shipped from Melb to Perth and assembled it with a couple of mates with relative ease - You will need a couple of mates for muscle. The instructions state 2-3 hours...allow 4-6!

Have you looked at a two or for post hoist?
I have a two post that can be used with the 4 points (wheels free) and it has removeable full lenght ramps that I use most or the time.
One  car up and the other parks under.
Works great for me.

I really cant see what the difference is between a 4 post car hoist and a 4 post parking hoist , anyone know? is it only that they have the 2nd lift so you can remove the wheels?
What is the price of the propark?
Seen these advertised in WA trading paper (Quokka) i have an old 2nd hand 2 post hoist i got a while back for $1200 and have thought about getting another hoist (4 post) for extra parking and convenience.

if you havr the space I would go for a 2 post clear floor for working and a 4 post with jacks for storage. If space is at a premium (as it usually is) I would look at Robs (Blocko)solution. Just need to be fit to move thos ramps.
To be honest though I am still tossing up which way to go as both have advantages.
cheers

Yeah i like the clear floor hoist , mine has the cables running under the ramp in the middle , right where i always want to use a gear box jack and its a pr#ck to push a car over that isnt going. Also all the dirt and crap ends up under there with the greasy cables , not good. Couldnt live without one now that i have it , thats why i want a 4 post now.;2

This is all interesting, I was looking closely at lifts but never really got too far. Posts in the way, car on top dripping oil, "other parties" (we know who they are) negotiating posts etc so now I've decided to knock a whole in the wall through to my workshop instead, gives me that extra space but not ideal :+

I'll follow this one with interest though in case I need to look at them again in the future. Good luck!
