REGO's UP 'AGAIN'
« on: October 15, 2009, 09:16:19 pm »
Here is the QLD E-Petition response i got today. It's in regards to the extra rise in QLD rego next year. We have gone from the cheapest state for Fuel and Rego, to now being the dearest.
Thanks Anna Bligh, we love your work!! Well done, keep the increases comming!!  :_  :[

Don't know about you Scott but the roads in Cairns are crap. Maybe they should look at main roads and how inefficiently they operate. Drove down Lake street in Cairns by the hospital last night and my car felt like it was going to shake itself apart (2004 Pug 206 GTI 180). Would not take the stang down there. ;x

I was going to say that in my initial whinge.. I have lived from Springwood to Townsville over the past 15 years. Mate im with you. Nth QLD roads are bloody terrible.. But we wont get into that Nth vs Sth debate. (no money for flood proofing  the Bruce hwy at Tully) yet $20mil for a stadium at Robina..
A premier that is Brisbane born and bread, has no real clue what is going on outside the SE corner..
Just for the record i love my capital Brissy and love the Titans, but c'mon, enough is enough..
Drove back home last week myself and the roads around Bundy are horse and cart days stuff.. Its crazy..
But hey got plenty of time to go on Masterchef..

(Do i sound alittle bitter?)   :w

She's certainly adopted the approach of Beattie, the grinning master liar.

QLD & WA are fairly unique, in that they are the largest states, with such diverse terrain, and reasonably low populations. I often wonder how they make it work.
In saying that, Victoria "should" have the best roads, but they aren't all that flash. You think they are good, then you go to LA and you see what real infrastructure is all about!

I agree with BLKPNY. LA roads are AAA, well all the roads I drove on in CA make Aussie road look like goat tracks.
Where have all the Real Pollies gone.........
