tow bar installation

hi, would anyone have any advise regarding installing a tow bar on a 66 coupe? i am having trouble finding someone to install a tow bar. if you have photos of a tow bar fitted etc that would be a great help. cheers, fi

Dont know of ready to fit ones made for mustangs , but i do know that XK-XP falcon towbars will bolt up as they are the same as the 66 rail spacing , i have about 3 towbars here on wrecks and have measured up. However you will have to bring the tow ball tounge down under the valance and up again , or cut a slice immediately below the number plate for the tounge to slide in. I was thinking of making a reece hitch type for mine with a square chrome trim in the valance so it can be removed.
