Re-chroming Plastics

(1/2) > >>

tim_morrison82:
i have read i few things on the net saying that plastics can't be re chromed, but i believe that these documents are outdated...

I always thought that if they can't chrome plastic, how did they do it to start with!

well i have found a link to a company in NSW that does it and they seem to go into some detailed methodology and thought i'd share the site.

when i asked them about mustang stuff they said they can't remember doing one, so it may be one of those hidden niche business that classic car restorers have been dreaming of!

if you have ever used these guys, or have heard stories please share.

One of the NSW club sponsors:

tim_morrison82:
same address, different name. lol

I think they have done mustang stuff, either that or they do false advertising.  I'm surprised they can't remember doing any mustang stuff, yet they advertise in the club magazine and include a '67 RHD bezel.

tim_morrison82:
maybe they just didn't have photo's of the mustang stuff...

once my restoration budget kicks back in i'll be sending stuff over. i did find a website in perth, but they didn't get back to me, or have pics of any high quality finishes.

i'd rather send my stuff to these guys i think.

has anyone used them if they are a sponsor? any pics?
