Muzz67,

thanks for the clear information that you are providing here. Paint and it's application always comes with lots of stories from lots of people with it's pros and cons.

The fact that you have the professional knowledge and skills is great. I see on to many forums, posts from people that are very misinformed on paint, trying to tell people how it is, without any technical knowledge to back there claims up other than, they know a mate of a mate who painted a car once.

As has been posted previously, it's to easy to get off your bum and head down to a car yard to look at colours in the flesh and see how they re-act with sun and shaddows etc...
The old paint chip on the computer will never cut it.

I have an XD ute that may need a lick of paint, might call on your advice soon.

I think you are refering to Motteling. Painting this wont be a problem. We can do eurathane candys so silver is a walk in the park.

Guys

Has anyone looked at sourcing the paint yet ?

I have a friend who works for PPG and they do all the falcon paints. I can ask her if we can get a deal or whatever.
Not sure what she can do but doesnt hut to ask.

Pls let me know.

Dupont have already kindly agreed to supply the paint for the car. Its all in the main thread.
