No effort at all to build a bed cover for that.  Actually was thinking of building a ute years ago, while I was in the US (but was thinking of a 71-3 coupled with an XA-C ute bed. There is an attempt at one of these 65 utes in the wrecking yard I go to. I will see if I can take some pics if it is still there.

Also wanted to build a replica of the 65 station waggon Ford had. There was the original one at Mustang Country (The late Don Chambers) back in the 90's.

Edit, upon thinking about that 65 waggon, it was a panel van...

Mmmmm..  What about a cortina wagon rear? They'd be roughly the same size...

I'm getting too many ideas now and not enough time to follow them all through.

The Ute would be an ideal car for a Mustang Business though.   Hey Mark, You interested?

Couldnt help myself

Had a few hours up my sleeve yesterday so I thought a quick drive to New Jersey to have a look at the old girl. All the frame rails are in good shape and even the battery tray and fender apron are solid and original. Its mainly the bed, front floor pans and lower cowl on the drivers side. The fella had new floor pans in the car.

He gets in and started it straight up in minus degree weather (by the way, its FN cold up here in Philidelphia) The car was located dead smack in the centre of Americas guetto in Jersey. Forgot the name of it but another fella later in the day told us that we were in the suburb of the Murder capital...highest murder rate in all of the US...It was FULL GUETTO

Not sure if were gonna keep it or not but it was too cheap and too cool for school to let it pass

Anyway, heres the pics.

Did anyone notice the window glass SHAPE?? even the gutter rail chrome and inner roof rail chrome shape. I didnt untill I got there. Even has a parcel shelf with speakers like an Ozzie ute.

More likely it will end up sitting next to the 67 428 Galaxie down at the yard awaiting some love for that rainy day.

Sheri finally picked up her BOSS302 shes been chasing for months so the day wasnt all wasted.

Hi Shermatt,

I’m a newbie here chasing a convertible (was really after a 66 model) but am also willing to consider looking at other options. Can you maybe send me an U2U with more details on the condition i.e. rust, mileage done and if anything major needs doing to it. Also, Can you advise what it would cost roughly to get this puppy shipped to Brisbane?
