My 3rd car (before I had my licence) was an XC GS wagon, with nice 351c and C10 auto. I rented a house on the beach in Chelsea (not good for rust) and used to sit in the driveway, doing 180kph in top gear. My GF (now wife) used to crack the poo's with me for filling the house with tyre smoke, because I'd be in such a hurry to do it, that I would forget to shut the front door!

The car lost forward gears after a while, so I used to back up the driveway, and do them! I don't know the speed, as the speedo doesn't work in reverse!

That car didn't last until my 18th birthday, but I kept the motor, and dropped it in my XC GXL Fairmont. That was a pretty sweet engine, by my early standards!
