Still not sure about color.... since I've already purchased red/white complete deluxe interior, I'm thinking BLACK with red strips on the outside??...your thoughts are appreciated.

Mate, I contemplated the Eleanor complete shebang.  Did a mountain of research on it and know of a few good sites to check out as well.  To be honest I would go as close to spec as possible i.e. Dupont Pepper Grey with the black stripes, another Dupont colour.  That's just for starters.

Good luck with it.....

I even got the Vic plates...LYN-274 which was the rego of the Shelby Eleanor in Gone In 60 Seconds.

Oh and if anyone is interested now that my Eleanor plans have changed course I am looking at selling these plates.

Cheers.

Ye,
Already have the eleanor complete kit. Purchased about 3years ago and sat in the garage waiting for the day it has a car to do on.
I've got about 5grand worth of sheet metal being replaced and that's just for the parts....;+; good time for a drink i think ....lol.

Deluxe interior purchased, landed should be available in about two weeks.
Problem is I ordered it all red with white inserts in the seats.....spent almost 3grand.
so don't think the original pepper grey eleanor colors on the outside will suit....so i'm thinking all black with red strips and maybe a faint white outer edge on the red strips....thoughts?

;{oh ye, a quick thank you to Capital Classics for having 90% of the list in stock and sourced the rest. :(:(
For an impatient person like myself, I didn't want to wait two to three months to get the stuff.

yep. pretty much......again, not so concerned about myself at this stage, but I wish theres' someway to warn others of "dressed up dolls" being sold overseas.

After all the sheet metal is replaced then the Eleanor kit will go on, then the deluxe interior...after that, it'll just be dress up stuff, like a brand new wiring loom etc...

;] unfortunately that'll have to remain a 289 with 3sp manaul for now.
I'm barely affording what needs to be done, so donk will have to be a future investment.

Stanglover, have you thought about keeping the Red/White stripe scheme she had when you bought her? It would be an eye catching Eleanor combo.
Cheers, Ron B

ye. Have considered it hence my avatar.
Not sure it looks mean with the eleanor kit on and those colors.

Its a fair way away yet to start thinking about colors, I have plenty of time.

Interior is definately all red with white strip in seat inserts and deluxe trim with brushed aluminium. Unless I decide to sell the interior and go for deluxe black trim.
