Speaking of lights what are the required brand/type required under Victorian registration laws???  Could someone recommend some different types etc. I figure this is one area that will definately require attention when she arrives.

Nice looking rig too seany-boy.

Cheers.

any Australian headlights will basically do. You can get 8 inch (i think) sealed beams for about $20 each or else you can get a halogen conversion kit which takes halogen globes for about $120. The Aussie ones have an offset inside to the LHS cos we drive on th eLHS whereas US ones are RHS offset.

I believe that they are 7" - well at least on a 70 they are. Any Hella H4s should do.

Cheers,
Frank.

Yes upgrade to 7"x H4's with strong halogen plus 50 bulbs, and the parking lights in the headlamp housings.

Fit a relay for these improved headlights to save overloading the sensitive headlight switch.

Then you can use the lower small lights for turn indicators only, and fit amber globes or lenses. Much safer.

Regarding the front number plate, if it's like a 66 you just pack it out with lengths of 3/8 tube, fibre tap washers and long metal threads, or make up aluminium brakets out of something suitable from the Bunnings metal display.
